A mix of things...

Be warned – this is a post of mixed emotions which will also be treated as an outlet for frustrations which is a result of having had only 2 hrs of sleep and today has been and still is rather stressful and tiring. I sometimes wonder how I manage to do all that I do. Really.

You know how they say tomorrow is a gift and you never know what to expect? Even if something that led to you smiling 24/7 made you feel nice, it comes with a heap of questions which makes you think, why not just take it one day at a time and give a shot at things in life in slow motion and see what happens?

I’ve had to spend the entire day working with one of the greatest back stabbers of the century. A two faced talented person at that. There I was the whole time, being nice as always, and wondering, what kind of lies can be cooking up in that individual’s mind? I’ve heard lies about me that I could never even imagine. I really wonder, are these people delusional? Or do they just have a serious mental problem? If stab marks were visible, I’d probably need plastic surgery by now! Yet, the comfort of know that I’m who I’m and let people talk what they want coz Karma does pay nice visits in great forms, feels good. Mean eh? :)

I’m tired. One energy drink after another to keep it going. Longing to go home and relax..... or a nice foot massage with a nice cold drink would be nice right now...

Anyhoo, I’m getting back to work...

How has everyone else been?

RD – you should put up videos or sound clips of some of the songs you’ve played. I’d love to hear sometime. Put up your favs? :)

DD – where are you and how are you?

Aakash the majestic eagle

Finally, I've managed to get down to the long awaited eagle post.

When I was in Bangalore last time, there was this eagle that came and waited on the window sill of my hotel room at 3pm sharp every single day. It would stay still for about an hour and keep staring at its reflection on the window. It was on time and the day I took pitures, it kept coming closer and closer to the window towards me. I didn't open it as it scared me a bit. It posed for me and then flew away.

Pics may not be clear as the glass was inbetween the camera and the eagle. I tried to adjust the colours and this is the best I could do.

Below is my Bangalorian visitor Aakash the majestic eagle. :)

Random Memories 3

Happy Father’s Day!

You loved your red Nissan car and yet you let me drive it in the space in front of our house every evening at the age of 12. Thank you Thaththie for the confidence you had in me and the trust. Though you watched me and was with me the whole time, probably freaking out in your mind.:)

Thank you for teaching me good values, showing me the way to being a good person and for all the lessons learnt. I think there are many unlearned lessons which you’ll probably watch me learn on my own as time goes by.

Thank you for saving up for me and never making me go through any hardships in life. Even after you left, we’re still well off because of your thoughtfulness, love and care. A part of you is there in everything I’ve and I do.

I’ve heard stories about the things you’ve gone through in your life. You make me so proud about how you’ve handled things. You’ve not had the easy life. Your story makes me feel like a hero’s daughter. I’m honoured and lucky to be your girl.

I miss your cooking. People still talk about how awesome your cooking was. I’m yet to find out if I’ve inherited that skill of yours.

In my heart you’ll always be alive. I know you’re there for me. You’ve shown me this and you make me feel it.

Happy father’s day Thaththie!

Eye-sight issue

I've blogged a few times about how bad my eye sight problem is.

Last evening I went for my annual check up and was thrilled to bits when the doc said that my eye-sight (for the first time in my entire life) hasn't changed!!!!:)

That's just fabulous news coz usually it keeps getting weaker and weaker and adding my focusing problem to that as well- my eyes are kinda screwed.

So yes, me is still a happy bunny.:) He also said that I can talk to a doc at Apollo and see if laser surgery is an option or not. Must attend to it slowly.

Then while checking my eyes, he asked me if I have finally got married. Then my mum reminded him that I prefer to be single till I'm 30+ and blah blah...

...to which he stared lecturing me! went on to tell me that medical studies have proven that women have fertility problems after 30 and that I must consider getting married NOW and he went on and on and on...

Then just before I left, he looked at me in the eye and said "pls think about what I said."

Gah!

The things a voice can do...

Last week while driving home from work, I kept changing radio stations in search of some good music and got hooked onto a show which had a promo going on.

Basically a question was asked about a lunch promo in one of the pubs and people were allowed to call in and give the answer. If the correct answer was given, then all the names go into a draw and one lucky winner is picked.

The prize - Pub lunch for winner and 3 of his/her friends.

I remembered reading about the lunch offer on one of those annoying yet tempting forward mails and so I called the radio station.

It took a few attempts to get through and finally when the radio DJ/VJ picked up, I asked if I could give the answer.

Once I answered, he said I got it right and then took down my name & no: and told me that the names go in for a draw and blah blah blah...

Then he started to flirt saying that I had a really nice voice and he asked me where I worked and a heap of other questions.

He then told me that the winner'll be announced in half an hour.

Something deep down told me that I was going to win this the way he flirted.

and guess what?

He CALLED me half an hour later, put me on air and told me that I won it!!

Then he went on to ask if I was married or dating anyone (while still being on air)and said that I sounded really nice and had a sexy voice and that he was sad he wasn't the first to tell me that coz I told him that I get it a lot.

So yes, thanks to the voice, I won. I plan on taking DramaQueen, The Doc & another friend.

Hope the pub lunch is good!
