I have a Yamaha box guitar. I've been wanting to learn to play it properly but never really got the chance. Then found a good office colleague who played the guitar and we got talking while being stuck at a production house working on an AV.
I told him that I needed to get new strings first coz mine were now a bit rusty. But I also told him that I'd have to wait till I get paid coz I'm pathetically broke! Still paying off expenditure incurred during the season and my mum's b'day!
The sweet soul of a friend asked me if I could take him to Nugegoda. I said 'Ok' and took him. He went to an instrument shop and bought strings. I assumed he was buying it for himself and asked if I could get one too...
He laughed and said 'it's for you silly. I'm buying it coz you said you were broke.' I was touched! :) really.
So now my baby's got new strings.. and I'm gonna get my fingers working! ;)
Now this happened last week. Another great thing was having drinks and dinner with two people I love and adore - DramaQueen & The Doc.
