So let me start off with my Bangalore experience. I never imagined it to be such a developed city. On my way to the office from the airport, I was stunned at the level of development. The standard of their out-door communication was spectacular ..and it made me remember Dubai to an extent too.
I didn't get to spend much time in Bangalore, it was just 2 nights. But my boss did take us to The Thirteenth floor and it was nice. Didn't get to see much of the city as we were busy with work and only had that one night to go out for dinner. But I must say, the women are just absolutely gorgeous! They're so damn hot! Lovely hair, flawless skin, good figures.... and alot of them are brand conscious... the amount of malls with branded stores are just crazy....and I also noticed that the city-life is so busy.
One thing I could not stand, is the never ending heavy traffic and non-stop horning!
But,I must say - there were quite a few people involved in this project. One was a guy who was a Swiss and Parsi mix. He was close to 40 with a pleasing personality, a total gentleman and had a damn good sense of humour. I met him once before on work and this was the second time I met him. You know how it is when out of no where, you suddenly just connect with people and you realise that you can talk and talk for hours and feel like it was one of the really good times you've had...
It was something like that. This guy is married with kids... and in addition to what kind of person he was, he did something very interesting for a living. He makes chocolates! We talked a lot when we met and then the night I was leaving Bangalore, he sent me chocolates to the hotel and they were just divine! Made to his grandma's Swiss recipe and I can't help drooling everytime I think of them.
So yea... people come and go... he continues to keep in touch and this sort of made my experience more.....lets say enriching..:)Plus my boss keeps saying that he was flirting with me and now everyone in office is waiting for me to get back so they can bug me to death. :)Did I also mention that he said I was his favourite Sri Lankan? ;) and then I had one of the top people working there slowly tell me that white men like him loves dark complexions like mine..lol
Anyways.... that's the end of that.
Then comes MumbaiMumbai appears to be quite a diverse city. You get people from everywhere. It has probably got the same population as we have here in this lovely island. People appear to be courteous and friendly in both cities. Most of them speak good English too..and Linkin road is a woman's favourite place to be as one can shop and drop and shop again! :)
Night life in Mumbai is awesome! Went partying once and man it was fun... Mumbai is so busy, you will also find women traveling all by themselves even around mid-night and it happens to be a very safe city.
My boss did take me around the city. Mumbai is lovely. One part of the city has this amazingly large amount of slums and I was also shown where Slumdog Millionaire was shot. Very sad to see the kind of life they live...
Then they have British architecture in the city which is breath-taking!
I also managed to see the Gateway of India and go on a boat-ride
The HUGE railway station...
Also took a late night train ride..
Saw the Taj
Went on the Sea-Link a number oftimes which is still being done and very very nice.
Watched Avatar on 3D in a large cinema and I have no words in my vocabulary to explain how awesome it was!
The city is full of shopping malls and like I mentioned above, there is a big sector that is able to afford a lot of branded goods.
But I did not see any supermarkets except for just one, which struck me as odd.
Saw 2 celebrity houses...and went goo goo gaa gaa over a doggy park which was really cute... All breeds of dogs with sexy owners...:)
Tried all sorts of Indian food too and loved most of it...until one day when the food didn't agree with me and I kept vomiting non-stop for 12 hours and also had fever, body aches and a headache. I couldn't even drink water as I would vomit that too..Then with absolutely nothing in my system, I was taken to the hospital where I was given 3 injections and loads of pills to take and was tested for Malaria. The injections were painful as the nurses just jabbed them into my skin.. but they worked...and the next day the doctor said they couldn't find any traces of Malaria in my blood but they wanted me to watch out and I was back to normal..
Photographers would really love the two cities as there's quite a lot of beauty...a lot they can capture... but sadly I didn't get much time to click and also, vehicles aren't really allowed to slow down or stop on the main routes so I didn't get much..Whatever pics I've got, I'll upload them separately.
So that's it for now... towards the end I really wanted to get back home coz I didn't have access to the net (sadly) and was pretty busy with work...but I did have a pretty good time... and the year started off well..:)
SO how have everyone else been?...Just so you know, I've missed you people!!! :)
Really.
